Development of the Programme of Work for the European Green Belt Association 2017-2018

The Programme of Work for the European Green Belt Association for 2017- 2018 was developed in three steps:

1. From the eight priorities for collaboration for the European Green Belt Initiative identified during the 8th Pan-European Conference 2014 in Slavonice, the Board of the European Green Belt Association chose the three most important as well as most suitable priorities for the Programme of Work:

  • Capacity Building and Knowledge Exchange
  • Lobbying
  • Awareness raising and Education

2. During the 9th Pan-European Green Belt Conference 2016 in Koli, the participants identified a list of possible tasks for the three selected fields of work for the European Green Belt Association.

3. The most important tasks were selected for the Programme of Work for the European Green Belt Association for 2017-2018 during the General Assembly 2016 by the members of the European Green Belt Association; two additional tasks were defined by the General Assembly.

The Programme of Work for the European Green Belt Association for 2017-2018 was finalized by the Board of the European Green Belt Association, including the identification of responsibilities, allocation of budgets for the chosen tasks, and setting of a time line for the implementation. The Programme of Work for the European Green Belt Association for 2017-2018 was adopted on 20 April 2017 by the Board of the European Green Belt Association based on the decision of the General Assembly on 3 November 2016.
