To create the backbone of an ecological network, running from the Barents to the Black Sea that is a global symbol for transboundary cooperation in nature conservation and sustainable development.
More than 200 exhibitors presented their innovative and future-oriented environment and nature protection projects at the fourth “week of environment” on 5th to 6th of June in the Bellevue castle park in Berlin.
The BUND Project Office Green Belt was glad to be one of them and present the common European nature heritage, the Green Belt. At our stand interested visitors had the chance to learn more about the outstanding ecological and social importance of the Green Belt as a living monument of an Europe growing together. This year’s “week of environment”, financed and organized by the German Federal Foundation for Environment (Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt DBU), attracted approximately 15.000 visitors.
