European Green Belt Days Regatta

These are the planned activities for the European Green Belt Day: 

The European Green Belt Days Regatta is a peaceful protest organised by the Fertő Tó Barátai/Friends of Lake Fertő Association, opposing large-scale waterfront development at Lake Fertő. It unites sightseeing companies, sailors, kite surfers, wind surfers and anglers from Austria, Slovakia and Hungary in a show of environmental solidarity.
The celebration highlights our community's commitment to preserving the lake's natural and cultural heritage against overdevelopment. As they sail past the contested construction site, participants intend to raise awareness of the ecological threats posed by the investment. The regatta symbolises resistance through unity and draws attention to the urgent need for sustainable and transparent development practices.
