Central Europe Regional Conference 2026
The Central Europe Regional Conference took place on April 21st 2026 via an online meeting. 48 participants from 29 organizations and 7 countries of the Central European Green Belt attended the conference. With a growing outreach, there were even 4 more countries represented.
The first session of the conference provided the participants with important information on ongoing BESTbelt projects of the 3rd Call for Proposals, resources for communicating the causes of biodiversity loss, practical and innovative approaches to protect endangered species as well as participatory developments regarding public awareness. The second session provided valuable insights into some of the ongoing activities along the Central European Green Belt. New ideas on communicating the vision of the European Green Belt to a broader public were presented, new and local conservation projects introduced, and lessons learned from closed transnational projects discussed for more joint activities in the future.
