On 3rd October, the German Reunification Day, a brand-new app was launched that will allow people to explore and experience the former inner-German border and the German Green Belt. By combining photo material, maps, biographies and interviews with contemporary witnesses, the app is the most comprehensive media presentation of the inner-German border to date.

Every two years, the European Green Belt and the BESTbelt project community come together to share knowledge and learn from each other! As well as sharing project results, insights and challenges, the Pan-European Conference provides a great opportunity to reconnect with people from all regions along the 12,500 km European Green Belt.

During the European Green Belt Days 2025, young people had the opportunity to explore the natural and cultural values of Albania’s Green Belt over the course of two days, through nature, traditions, and community dialogue.

As part of the BESTbelt project “Old Mountain for New Generations”, a two-day study visit to Old Mountain and a consultative meeting in Pirot aimed at teaching students and local and national institutions about nature protection, planning, and sustainable management.
