LAG Korab-Koritnik: With local communities for a sustainable development in Albania

The local action group LAG Korab-Koritnik is an initiative to create the first local action group for a protected area in Albania. Such structure will combine and represent different sectors and active citizens of the region with the main goal of nature conservation and the promotion of sustainable development.

Getting together: EGB Days in the Šumava National Park

On Saturday 19th September 2020 a friendly collaborative meeting of representatives of Czech and Bavarian conservation CSOs came together in the transboundary protected area of the Šumava Natural Park and in the Bavarian Forest National Park to celebrate this year‘s European Green Belt Day. The aim: To strengthen mutual collaboration and skil-sharing between the participating CSOs.

Birds that can easily be touched: An exhibition that brings people close to nature of the European Green Belt

This year, Green Balkans celebrated the European Green Belt Days in an unusual way with an amazing exhibition. Call for funding of large-scale nature conservation projects in Germany is open

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the German reunification, the federal states bordering the German Green Belt and the Federal Ministry for the Environment have declared that they intend, in dialogue with the stakeholders, to completely secure and if possible designate the German Green Belt as a National Natural Monument. In addition, they intend to strengthen the ecological network along the Green Belt, including the section on the German border with the Czech Republic.
